The Puerto Rico team is no stranger to the United States, they have competed in various tournaments in the past but have never competed in the Cal Ripken World Series before.
They were supposed to play in the tournament last year before Covid-19 struck, and since then it has been difficult for them because they couldn’t practice and meet consistently as a group. Manager Alexis Gonzalez described the team as one that is ready to compete and there isn’t just one kid to look for and that it will take the whole team to succeed in the tournament.
While Gonzalez has only been the team for a year, he has confidence that his team will do well in the tournament. Even though the team has little experience in the Cal Ripken World Series, they plan on leaving their mark on the tournament.
